Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done.

Contrary to popular belief, cats don’t actually groom themselves by the traditional definition-they lick themselves. Grooming involves soap and water. Similar to how you wouldn’t lick your fingers after gardening before you eat dinner, we don’t consider licking the same was grooming.

We wash cats at the start of every grooming service in accordance to the standard of the National Cat Groomers Institute of America to strip the grease, dirt, and oils from their fur so that we can easily and more comfortably remove the dead hair built up that causes shedding and matting.

Yes, bathing cats is hard. But it means healthier cats & happier cat owners.

Retail Product List

Rubber Curry Brush $18.99

Utilized for short and medium haired cats to gently work out dead coat by brushing with the direction of the hair. This brush has soft teeth that work in-between sections of the hair making them very gentle and effective for every day use.

As an added bonus this brush works well for removing pet-hair from clothing.

Long-Pin Slicker Brush $26.00

For working impacted hair and small tangles out of a long haired cats coat it’s best to use a slicker brush with long pins that will reach all the way down to the skin.

Unlike generic slicker brushes the ones in our salon are selected specifically for cats based on their size, soft pliability, and pin shape. A generic slicker brush may scratch your cat’s skin and damage it’s coat which is why it’s is important to get a tool picked out specifically for use on cats.

An absolutely essential tool for any long-haired cat owner for daily use to remove the built up dead hair that cases shedding and matting.

In the salon we use our metal combs every day on nearly every cat. A comb also works well for short haired cats that have very thick coats. There is no more easily utilized tool for most breeds and coat types!

Stainless Steel Comb $18.99

Nail trimming is important for indoor cats to stop their nails from getting caught on carpet and clothing. For a full grown cat nails grow back in about 4 weeks -kittens grow back in half the time!

When clipping a cats nails at home it is important that you have a clotting agent on hand in case you go too short and the nail bleeds. Cornstarch works great in a pinch.

Cat-Sized Nail Trimmers $12.50
